Stockport Oak Tree Drawing Ink

This witchy, black ink dries to a rich, velvety finish and is made from trees in four Stockport parks (Adswood, Brookfields, Hollywood & Vernon). It's wonderful to draw with using dip pens, brushes or sharpened sticks. Gall ink develops and darkens as it reacts with the paper and air. Shake before use. This 50ml bottle comes with a mini zine showing you the exact trees it's made from and a QR code linking to Google Maps, so you can visit these trees and collect your own galls.

I like to leave some sediment in my inks as it dries in wonderful, textured ways. You can use a spray fixative (e.g. varnish) to preserve your work (hairspray will do in a pinch - but test on scrap paper first to avoid discolouration).

Ingredients: Water, Oak Gall Extract, Ferrous Sulphate (~0.28%), Gum Arabic, Ethanol.
