This original mono screen print is printed using oak gall and copper inks made by me from foraged plants and minerals. Printed using a biodegradable, plant-based modifier onto thick, corrugated, handmade card stock. All prints are packaged in biodegradable film. I use no solvents to expose or clean my screens. Price includes P&P.

This simple bird design has been really popular at art fairs recently, though each artwork is unique and one of a kind. The paper reminds me of lenticular stickers (the holy grail of stationery when I was a kid). It’s a horror to print on, but gives the work a beautiful texture which catches the light. Size 26cm x 26cm.

Inks:

  • Grey/Black: knopper oak galls, found under an oak tree in Reddish, Stockport
  • Turquoise: Copper scraps from my dad's garage

Although every effort has been made to protect the colours from UV degradation, plant-based inks are not as lightfast as plastic-based inks. You should not display this print in direct sunlight.
