Boulder Bead Necklace

Tactile, modernist double-height plywood ‘boulder’ bead made from offcuts of recycled birch plywood (kindly donated by the mighty Woodworths Bespoke Furniture, whose workshop is next door to mine).

I make these beads by sandwiching together two pieces of beautiful birch plywood. I then sand facets into the surface. Each bead is strung on a hand-braided elastic and finished with another birch plywood bead for the closure.
